NOT THE ORIGINAL STICKER THREAD BUT MAYBE A NEW ONE
Hey guys. Well i wanted to let you gys know i got a hook up on stickers. I know there are people in the club that can make the stickers or has connections and all that good stuff. I didnt wanna be off topic on any other thread so i thought id write it on here, if anyone thinks it can be added to another thread go ahead and move it or if you feel you need to delete it cuz there is enough sticker threads go right ahead. Just wanted to share some information. So as some of you know or may have seen at my shop i now sell decal stickers for the import/tuner scene. I get them from a guy in So Cal that makes them. His job is walking around shop to shop selling these things while he has 4 guys working full time at his location making these things. He sell for all the So Cal shops as well as does companies, big companies. he just told me the other day his brother is the one who makes them for Toyota, all the TRD Offroad stickers you see for the dealers/manufacturers. Well anyways i had him make me my shop stickers. He designed me a new decal logo that i could use and a banner. So now i have small side window decals and windshield banners. I know the prices we had on the other thread were pretty good. But i thought id just share this information. Maybe one of you who have the Cut machine files or even on Illustrator i can give him maybe he can get us some pricing. Maybe he can do some good prices. He told me it was all based on the size and what he can fit on the sheet. Whats cool about him is that ive been doing business with him for a while now with the other decals that he gives me a great price and doesnt make me have a minimum. Here was my pricing 3.25X8.5" for $0.39 each 4.5X38.5" for $3.00 each I thought those prices were VERY good at least compared to what was posted on the other threads and what we had all paid for. This is something for future reference in case we need it.

Re: NOT THE ORIGINAL STICKER THREAD BUT MAYBE A NEW ONE
I don't see how these stickers could really be worth a damn at prices like those... I wouldn't even be able to pay for the vinyl at that price, let alone staffing multiple people full time. You sure he's using quality vinyl and doing a quality job? Some of the letters in the first picture are crooked.
As for providing Illustrator files... I don't see any problem with that, as I'm a friend of the UC4x4 club. But do note that normally I would not be willing to do that-- I spent a considerable amount of time finding fonts and designing these decals to the exact specs (or very close) of the previous ones that were made. I wanted to make sure the club members would be able to mix old decals with news ones if they wanted to. My time working on the design is worth something and so normally I would expect the other person to put in some time too.
That being said-- if he wants my Illustrator files I'm glad to share them since it's for the club. I certainly can't cut stickers that cheap so if UC wants to switch there are no hard feelings at all.

Re: NOT THE ORIGINAL STICKER THREAD BUT MAYBE A NEW ONE
I posted this with nothing against nobody. Just found his prices really cheap that's all. And I found his work very good and quality. As for you saying the letters are crooked that's my fault. I put that decal on my door at my shop. but the way i peeled it at an angle it pulled the letter off. They are all straight on the transfer paper. As for quality of vinyl i got no idea between brands and quality. I am welcome to show them to you if you'd like when we meet up during a club function.
I wasn't asking specifically you (Chris) for the Illustrator file, because i know you put a lot of work into the decals. That is up to you if you'd want to give me the file. I was guessing that someone already has it from previous for example the website or even the font used. He can do it all and figure it all out on his own from a JPEG or just knowing the font name. But if someone had the file from illustrator obviously it would be a lot easier.
Only reason why i am guessing he can do it that cheap is because this is what he specializes in, and he probably buys in bulk. I don't know exactly. But hes been doing this for 10 years he said. And he does a LOT on Ebay.
Id just thought id bring it up, because if we can all save the money as well as save the hassle and headache of doing it ourselves, it will be a lot less stressful. I myself thought the price was really cheap when he had told me over the phone, next day i picked them up when i was in LA for business. I had ordered 1000 of the small ones and 33 of the big banners. Now i just give them away to my customers. Its cheap advertisement. And for those who spend a lot of money or i sponsor i give the bigger decals to. And i thought of a good sales pitch, which i told my customers down the line i will be running specials and discounts, and that only applies to customers who come in with my shop logo on the car, so they like heck yes i want it on the car. Even if they save $5 and all they gotta do is rock a small sticker they will.

They do look good.
Next sticker orders wont be NEARLY as big and will be members only logos. I will definately keep that in mind for next time.

Re: NOT THE ORIGINAL STICKER THREAD BUT MAYBE A NEW ONE
Sorry I didn't mean to sound snappy-- just seemed like you were stepping on me a bit. I kept the prices as low as I could and I actually told Peter that with the number of hours that I ended up having to put in, my prices were even a bit too low at the end of the day. I understand I may not be the cheapest but I use quality vinyl and I'm very meticulous about getting it right-- I threw a lot of stickers and vinyl away because they didn't meet my standards (ended up having to order an extra roll because of it too).
But like I said before-- if UC wants to go with your guy in the future, there are honestly no hard feelings. I do realize money talks and to be honest I'm not sure I'd be able to cut another batch at the rates I gave you guys before- it was entirely too many hours of work for my busy schedule.
Peter if you want my Illustrator files (and I'm sure you do) just gimme a hollar.
