Post Another Victim of destruction at Pismo
Some of you have already heard about this but heres what happened to my truck this last weekend in pismo...

I was cruisin the dunes with my nephews taking it really easy i was actually just on flat sand when all of a sudden i couldnt steer got out and saw this...

this is after we tried to roll it, but it fell of the lower a arm? i think thats what it is. Cj and ryan can give you the technical terms

So apparently theres supposed to be some bolts that hold this together....

Heres the passenger side and what its supposed to look like

The pics dont show very well so heres a little video of whats broken

So it was unfortunate that this happened on the infamous last run of the day, but i am so thankful that it happened on the flat sand out there at 5 MPH instead of on a dune or even worse on the freeway. These bolts were loose and fatigued theres no telling how long some or most were missing. Looking at what happened it was going to happen somewhere at some point soon and i dont think the dunes are what caused it really since i was super easy on my truck out there.

Steves towing $300 just to get it off the beach and one of my 200 mile tows to get it home. FYI Pismo is only 172 miles from Gilroy.

I took a look at it today with my dad and its looking like i just need new bolts, but 2 holes need to be tapped because the bolts got stripped in there. We pulled the bolts from the passenger side and they are completely different bolts and i can see why they might have come loose on the drivers side. Hopefully thats all it needs, this being my daily driver and all.

As bad as it was it went pretty good and i am very thankful no one got hurt!

that sucks. Kinda weird too cause in the last month i've replaced a total of 3 of those balljoints. all of them broke not just had the bolts come out though.

Dang bummer. Sucks about the Steves tow fee but at least its home. Hopefully it will just be the bolts.
