Re: Sag Pump, Power steering cooler and YORK!

Under the head. It's easy and quick. Plus, I got see what the screen mesh looked like on the intake. Clean as a whistle.
The power steering cooler should be fine since it's on the low pressure hose. It's held on to the stock loop with one skinny hose clamp from the factory so the pressure shouldn't be an issue.

Re: Sag Pump, Power steering cooler and YORK!
Small update; It's going well. I needed hose clamps to finish tying in my cooler to the pump and box. I also need a longer belt since my original design was modified. After that, Re-due some of my airlines from my york to the rest of the system and BAM! all done.

Looks sick buddy! I'm thinking mine won't be ready by the snow trip but I hope to have a tank and male to male adapter for some external compression... What to hook a brother up with some air???

Got it plumbed and wired and drove it out of the garage. I like what I see so far.

Re: Sag Pump, Power steering cooler and YORK!
it pumps out a mass amount of air. I'm glad I already ran the tank and stuff but now I have to re-due a bit that goes to the manifold.

Re: Sag Pump, Power steering cooler and YORK!
Nope! I have a solution for that. I found a guy on FSB who used flexable exhaust tubing to re-due his. That's most likely what i'm gonig to do. In order for it not to hit, you'd have to lay it completley on it's side which even then, You might not be able to use the "snorkle" peice that slides into the stock box.

Re: Sag Pump, Power steering cooler and YORK!
Progress is good. I got most of the air system re-done as far as the airline goes. I even made a bracket to mount the "manifold" onto the York itself. I got some of the flexable exhaust tubing. It's pretty good and should make it do-able to use about half of the stock air tubing and half flex line. I also made the mounting bracket for my "ghetto" K&N. I still need to put all the brackets back on now that the paint is drying. Finish the air line hook up to the old set-up. Finish the air ducting to the throttle body from the K&N. And also, I need to replace the sector shaft seal on the steering box. Now that I have legit steering fluid it leaks 10X worse. I have the seal and have tried to change it once. It's a beotch. Wish I knew someone who has rebuilt one of these steering boxes before. All this needs to be done by Friday night so Zach and I can play hockey all night.

Re: Sag Pump, Power steering cooler and YORK!
What seal are you replacing, the one where the pitman arm goes, or the one where the steering shaft from the wheel hooks up?

Re: Sag Pump, Power steering cooler and YORK!
The one directly above the pitman arm. It has a seal, then a retaining clip, then another seal. Last time I tried, I couldn't get the first seal out and I ran out of time. It was before I owned a pitman arm puller so it took almost an hour and a half to get the stupid thing off. The first one I got was to small.
Anyways. Hopefully I can replace that wednesday or thursday.

Re: Sag Pump, Power steering cooler and YORK!
when it comes time to remove the seals, pull the wire on the coil and crank the motor for a few seconds, the pressure of the pump should blow the seal out.
